Our Bible, our promises

P Chris Brown  |  18 Nov 2018

A scary experience when buying his first bible, impressed upon P Chris that this is a very special book... changes lives; it provides hope; it describes an incorruptible inheritance. It is a description of the covenant (not contract), that God has made with mankind.

Contracts are an agreement between two people where each party only promises to keep it if the other person does as well – either can break the contract. A covenant is different - it's a pledge, a perpetual promise from one to another independent of what the receiver does.
